Can implants be placed immediately after extraction?
In selected cases, implants can be placed at the same time as tooth extraction. This depends on factors such as the absence of infection, adequate bone volume, and the condition of the surrounding tissues. Your dentist will assess whether immediate placement is suitable in your case.
Healing time
Healing time varies depending on the patient and the location of the implant. In general, implants in the lower jaw heal within approximately 2–3 months, while implants in the upper jaw may take around 3–4 months. This period allows the implant to integrate securely with the bone.
Temporary teeth during treatment
During the healing phase, temporary teeth may be provided where appropriate. These can be removable or fixed, depending on the case. In some situations, modern 3D-printed temporary restorations may also be used to maintain appearance and function.
